For the HK Sothebys International Realty ‘Event Series 3/5 – Draw me I’m Colorful’ we decided to put colors in life for an original event entertainment! Bringing together with us fashion designers, creativity and technology, we created a total bespoke experience. Guests were able to fully participate in the fashion and artistic experiences which included live illustrations and photos printed on iPhone cases. The added touch was of course all the magnificent paintings from Chagall, Antonio Segui, Picasso, Bernard Buffet… as we organized the event at the very well-known Opera Gallery. Thanks to Andy Ho, guest of honor, who kindly joined even though he was busy preparing Paris fashion week!

The colorful, fast-paced and advancing energy of Hong Kong’s past and present has been a great source of inspiration to Nicole, one of our talented artists, for this bright wall painting! “What I enjoyed particularly was to provide my own understanding of a city that I truly love. Not only did I enjoy painting my take on the town that I like to call my home, but I also enjoyed the challenges that the mural brought; Tackling a massive size and figuring out which mediums would articulate best – it helped strengthen my artistic understanding and abilities. An overall humbling learning experience.” The painting is located in the office of Meltwater Hong Kong, an agency that focuses on business strategies. Encompassing a space of 19 × 8 feet, the concept of this mural illustration is linked to vibrant Hong Kong.
Wall painting has become a great value these past years for companies, institutions and individuals. It shows particular values while sharing emotions with others. According to each projet, everyone can recognize a certain something they relate to. Besides, it creates the surprise and the will to get to know better a project, a location or the social lifestyle of a city. In the wall painting below, we can easily recognize the colorful and energetic city of Hong Kong. We can also see one of the city great features which is the mix between Eastern and Western people. Finally it is looking at the past and the present at the same time. On on hand there is a dragon boat sign on the left which illustrates the traditional city and on the other hand, there is a skyscraper in the background that reminds us the modernity of Hong Kong.
An artistic workshop should always be prepared carefully. The content will adapt according to the crowd, the ages, the level of understanding of each member and of course the one who organizes it and what he wants to achieve!
An artistic workshop and a glass of Champagne please!
Learning how to sketch is certainly a long process but acquiring the basics in a short amount of time (3h) is possible with a good workshop leader. Every art workshop is different according to what someone wants to learn: watercolor, drawing, ink, acrylic, pencils, crayons… In the case of Le French May celebration at Harbour City with Ruinart, the idea was to provide some knowledge about the glittery sketching process signed by Paris Art Ltd.
Our goal was to allow the members of the workshop to be able to design drawings such as the one above after a few hours. Some were more complex because they were added with 3d fabric.
The members were very interested and finally got very talented! Klio, our workshop leader did a great job with explaining how to use the tools, the painting, the proportions, etc. And with a glass of Champagne it’s always easier to understand! After a short amount of time everyone was ready to draw, use silver powder, original tools, fabric and else to express their originality. We framed the artistic pieces on site so all guests were able to keep their piece of art at home and exhibit them!
The result is not only about learning art it’s also to discover a new world which starts with somebody’s own world. Who do you believe you are? Could you imagine a minute that 3h of your life could lead you to a passion? How would you know this is your passion if you never experimented it before?
For the big launch event of Campfire, a fantastic coworking space, we explored original ideas linked to food and illustrations. The main big question was : how to create an illustration made of 100% food? Challenge was accepted! After a research process and brainstorming sessions we came out with the idea of plates illustrations. Not only would it be possible to illustrate with food but also could we display the hashtag of client on the plate so everyone could see the name of client and tag him on Instagram. Finally all invited enjoyed this creative experience happening live! The performance was organized throughout a workshop where guests could try to illustrate themselves and become an artist of a day. Sometimes they also inspired us with uncommon ideas and we end up going much further than what we imagined in the first place. Art in motion, creativity never stops!
The idea of painting using lipstick, eyeshadow & nail polish came with Clé de Peau Beauté who kindly trusted our unlimited creative mind. After brainstorming on creative solutions, we realized make up would be great for organizing an original event entertainment. Therefore, we launched the artistic event process and came up with fashion sketches. The main idea was to sketch guests in 10mn maximum using watercolor and the make up collection of the brand for a bespoke experience. This was a fantastic opportunity to be part of the Bal Masqué 2015 collection in which super talented artist Joji Kojima got involved in. The Japanese art combined with delicate Venetian Italian sensation has been a wonderful delight and it gave us even more inspiration for the new projects to come. Guests who would get into the Hong Kong boutiques chose their favorite mask and make up and our illustrators team would draw accordingly either live or based on a picture taken at the boutique. This led to magnificents moments.
